18 to 24 year olds in the UK at 72% are the most likely to check your social media before meeting you.

MOBOPINIONS asked 922 people across the UK (giving a 4% margin of error), “Do you look up someone on social media before you meet them?” 

The results highlighted that if you are under 45 you should be careful what you post on social media, as 69% of people who are going to meet you face to face, for the first time, will check you out on your social posts.

Highlighting social medias lower usage by people over the age of 45 the poll found the figures were inverted with only 33% who would look up social media first, compared with 68% of under 18s, 72% of 18 to 24s, and 64% of 25 to 44 year olds.
